Snowbasin is one of the oldest continuously operating ski areas in the nation. Ever since the first hearty skier schussed down our slopes in 1939, people from all over the United States have come to enjoy our exhilarating powder snow and majestic mountain scenery. The history of Snowbasin and the USDA Forest Service is a story of discovery, restoration and conservation of this unique and bountiful area as a special place of beauty and adventure.
This Sun Valley Resort is the essence of rustic chic and has fast become Utah's most asked about winter sports resort. Our European guests are telling us, "It feels like home!" Cultural diversity has arrived and our guests are enjoying the sun soaked slopes, panoramic views, rocky outcrops and the Needles Ridge sculpted by cirques with the breathtaking Needles Spires. Welcoming the world in 2002, Snowbasin successfully hosted six events, including the men's and women's downhill, Super G and combined events. This is our home. Our skyscrapers are Ben Lomond Peak, Mt. Ogden and Strawberry Peak. You probably won't see a lot of celebrities, but you'll see plenty of stars. You'll find good eats, a place to sleep and a huge playground.

Ogden’s proximity to and history with the railroad had earned it two nicknames toward the end of the 19th Century: “Junction City” and “gateway to the West.” It also marked the beginning of significant commerce activity and stimulated the creation of a more organized effort to bolster and integrate business development activities.
We have been serving the Ogden/Weber area for over 122 years! Back when the Chamber was organized, the mission statement was to advance the general prosperity of Ogden City. The mission statement hasn't changed much since then and we now have about 2000 members who support the commerce in Ogden and Weber County. The chamber is located in the downtown Ogden area, right next to Historical 25th St.
The OVBA is dedicated to serving the Ogden Valley community and visitors through the promotion and development of community resources including arts, culture, education, health and human services, tourism, and community service. We encourage year-round visitors to our beautiful valley in Northern Utah, surrounded by Snowbasin, Powder Mountain and Wolf Creek Utah ski resorts.
